found this idea on a crafty bloggers site 'Chic Tags' and could resist making some for my girls to hand out to their girly friends on Valentines Day. Made up 2 varieties using paper dollies cut into heart shapes and machine stitch, leaving a gap to slide in some jaffas..then finished stitching. Can decorate with felt hearts or just leave plain. In the end I made plain paper hearts for the kindi's as their are so many kiddies in the 21st century with food allergies. Whereas we know the older girls well enough to know that they eat chocolate in abundance.

whilst encouraging our newest edition to the family 'honey' to explore the farmlet, I not only discovered many edible delights, but also my all time favourite heliconia - rostrata in full bloom.

some of the unusual fruits include pepinos, black sepote, starfruit (tiny pink clustered flowers), bell chillis, wax jambu and many more commonly known fruits

summer has definitely arrived in the sub-tropics, and abundance of wax jambu, bananas and tamarillo just to mention a few
